Mainwynd Kennels

Making your house a home

Mainwnd has been breeding and actively promoting Doberman Pinschers since the early 1980’s with our first litter born in 1981.  The litter was sired by AM CH Sherluck’s L.B. Jake and Royolyn Prairie Wind, CD.  Since 1980, Mainwynd Dobermans has been progressive, succeeding in both the conformation and obedience rings.  We stress longevity and temperament in our breeding program, and we carefully select our breeding animals based on our high standards.

Our passion other than Dobermans has always been showing and breeding horses.  Mona began showing Quarter horses in 1970, taking many to overall high point awards.  Due to health reasons, however, she has changed to a smoother breed of horse.  This began our involvement with the Tennessee Walking Horse.  The old saying of “Ride one today and own one tomorrow” certainly rings true for us.  Naturally, we couldn’t stop at just one, so we began breeding and showing this wonderful animal.
